Chris Maitre: Chief Executive Officer

San Antonio, TX – Chris Maitre has been named Chief Executive Officer of the Brackenridge Park Conservancy. In this role, he will lead the conservancy in raising funds to preserve and enhance the 125-year-old park’s natural, historic, educational and recreational resources for current and future generations.

Maitre has more than 27 years of nonprofit experience which includes policy development, revenue growth, project management and programming. Most recently, as the Chief Operating Officer for City Park Conservancy in New Orleans, he oversaw day-to-day operations for the 1,300-acre urban park. Previously, he was the Deputy Athletics Director for Tulane University.

Brackenridge Park, a 349-acre park in the heart of San Antonio, with its picnic areas, ball fields, museum, zoo, and golf course, is the second oldest park in San Antonio. It occupies some of the most historically rich land in the City.

Brackenridge Park Conservancy is a steward of Brackenridge Park’s natural, historic, educational, and recreational resources and an advocate for their preservation and enhancement for the benefit of current and future generations.
