Danica Jamison: Executive Director
Bozeman, MT — Human services leader Danica Jamison has been selected as Executive Director of Big Sky Youth Empowerment (BYEP), a youth mentorship program with a mission to provide opportunities for vulnerable teens in Gallatin Valley.
Jamison brings a deep commitment to teens achieving their full potential and living empowered, independent futures. She joins BYEP from Greater Gallatin United Way (GGUW) in Bozeman where she served as President and CEO for the last eight years. In this role, Jamison expanded key community programs such as kidsLINK Afterschool, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, and The Resilience Project.
Prior to joining GGUW, Jamison was a MSU Gallatin County 4-H Extension Agent serving over 800 youth in traditional 4-H programs and a grant-funded 4-H mentoring partnership program. Among her responsibilities, she supported almost 200 volunteers and managed youth and volunteer participation.
Big Sky Youth Empowerment (BYEP) provides opportunities for vulnerable teenagers in Gallatin Valley to experience success and become contributing members of the community through group mentorship and experiential adventures. BYEP has served more than 1000 teens over the last 21 years. BYEP currently serves approximately 150 youth, age 12 to 18, with support from over 50 volunteer mentors and tutors.
