Maeven Sipes: Chief Executive Officer
Woodridge, IL – Fundraising professional Maeven Sipes has been appointed Chief Executive Officer for West Suburban Community Pantry. She brings to this role a lengthy background in nonprofit food bank leadership in philanthropy and marketing, including major gifts, annual fund and events.
Previously, Sipes was Chief Philanthropy Officer for Northern Illinois Food Bank in Geneva, IL, where she led a 30-person team in marketing, volunteer services and fundraising. In this position, she was responsible for raising $25 million annually in operating support for the Food Bank and coordinating 20,000 volunteers annually. Prior to Northern Illinois Food Bank, she worked at the multi-state nonprofit organization Adoption Arc where she coordinated the international adoptions of over 70 children.
West Suburban Community Food Pantry (WSCP), serving DuPage and Will Counties, is a leader in the local movement to end hunger. WSCP increases access to nutritious food through services designed to meet a range of neighbors’ needs; provides resources that help families increase their financial stability through collaboration with community partners; and innovates to reduce food waste through new sourcing and distribution solutions The Pantry served over 110,000 individuals and 2.8 million pounds of food in 2023, a 70 percent increase over the prior year.
