Michael Graham: Executive Director
Rockville, MD – Michael Graham, a veteran executive in the field of dentistry, has joined the American College of Dentists as Executive Director. Throughout his career, Graham has demonstrated a passion for the dental profession, a dedication to motivating volunteer leaders and members, and a commitment to achieving substantial gains for the profession in Washington.
For nearly 30 years, Graham has served the American Dental Association (ADA) in the Washington, DC-based Government Affairs office advocating on the behalf of member dentists and their businesses. Most recently, as Senior Vice President, Division of Government and Public Affairs, he led the ADA’s repeal of the longstanding antitrust exemptions of the McCarran-Ferguson Act and their COVID-19 response to re-open dental offices at the height of the pandemic.
In this role, Graham managed ADA’s 29-member government affairs team and two ADA Councils. He built the ADA’s brand reputation to be one of the finest lobbying offices in Washington. Under his leadership, the ADA Political Action Committee has risen to one of the Top 50 PACs in Washington over the last 10 years, raising more than $1.5 million per year.
Earlier in his career, he served in government relations roles for the National Association for Medical Equipment Services, National Association of Rehabilitation Facilities and Maryland Department of Human Resources.
