Stacy Wines: Chief Executive Officer
Battle Creek, MI — Stacy Wines has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer of CareWell Services Southwest, an agency that promotes the health, independence and choice of seniors, people with disabilities and their caregivers.
Wines has been with CareWell Services since 2015, serving, most recently, as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining CareWell, Wines was Grants Manager for the Battle Creek Community Foundation, working primarily with its Neighborhood Grantmaking Program. She started her career as a paralegal specializing in estate planning, probate, and real estate.
For over a decade, Wines has also been a caregiver for her husband of 33 years who lives with dementia. This role has made her passionate about advocating for the health, choice, and independence of both the aging population and the needs of caregivers. She is on the Leadership Committee of Miles for Memories, Certified Coach for Dementia Live®, Certified Dementia Friends Champion, and Graduate of the Crisis Prevention Institute’s Dementia Capable Care.
In addition, Wines is a Board member of NorthPointe Woods, graduate of the USAging Leadership Institute, certified trainer of PHI’s Training to Prevent Adult Abuse and Neglect, and volunteers her paralegal services to underserved populations.
CareWell Services Southwest, one of 16 area agencies on aging in Michigan created by the Older Americans Act and designated by the Michigan Aging and Adult Services Agency, is the Region 3B Area Agency on Aging serving Barry and Calhoun counties. It is charged with identifying the needs of seniors and developing plans to enable older adults to maintain their independence with dignity through person-centered services.
