Director of Search Operations

Alicia acts as the primary liaison with the Search Operations team and leads the overall delivery of search support to the Principal Consultants, including search process analysis and development. In this role, she develops and improves client services, provides long-range planning, and manages process improvements. She also provides search support, including directing the strategies and management of candidate identification and development, and ensures key objectives of each engagement are met.

Alicia has over two decades of broad nonprofit recruiting experience. She joined Kittleman & Associates in 2000 as an Administrative Assistant and has since expanded her responsibilities to Senior Associate and as Director of Search Operations. She has worked extensively with mission-driven client organizations in such sectors as education, the arts and culture, healthcare, professional associations, grantmaking, animal welfare, human services and conservation.

Prior to joining Kittleman, she worked as a law receptionist at the law offices of Bockelie, Halliday, Woodhead, Knauer, Minas & Snow. Earlier in her career, she accepted a White House internship position under the Clinton Administration where she worked for Thurgood Marshall, Jr., then Assistant to the President and Secretary in the Cabinet Affairs Office.

She received a Bachelor of Arts degree at Northwestern University in the areas of political science and organizational behavior. Alicia has served in volunteer leadership positions for the Japanese American Citizens League on both the local and national level.
