Margot Riphagen

President and CEO
Planned Parenthood Great Rivers Action (PPGR Action) · St. Louis, MO

Planned Parenthood Great Rivers (PPGR) has promoted Margot Riphagen to President and Chief Executive Officer. She will also serve as the President and CEO of Planned Parenthood Great Rivers Action (PPGR Action), the advocacy and political arm of PPGR.

With over two decades of experience in health care advocacy, Riphagen brings an enduring commitment to protecting and advancing reproductive health care and rights, including in regions where patients currently and historically lack access.

Previously, Riphagen served as Vice President of External Affairs at PPGR and PPGR Action, where she worked to build powerful coalitions to expand health care access and political power, activate supporters, and drive legislative and electoral victories — including her contributions to successfully enshrine the Right to Reproductive Freedom Initiative, or Amendment 3, into the Missouri Constitution.

Prior to PPGR, Riphagen spent more than two decades combating anti-abortion efforts with Planned Parenthood Federation of America in the American South, organizing and unionizing thousands of workers with SEIU and AFSCME labor groups. Drawing on her political and legislative experience across 30 states, Riphagen is focused on the protection and expansion of abortion and reproductive rights in the St. Louis region — the community in which she was raised — and across the state of Missouri.

Planned Parenthood Great Rivers (PPGR) is the leading provider, educator, and protector of sexual and reproductive health care in the St. Louis region, Missouri Ozarks, and beyond, as it has been for more than 90 years. PPGR serves more than 30,000 patients each year. Planned Parenthood Great Rivers Action engages in education, lobbying, and organizing activities to protect and advance access to sexual and reproductive health care.
